Commissioner To Meet With Residents To Discuss Traffic Congestion

Brandon and Valrico residents fed up with increasing traffic congestion are invited to discuss their concerns Tuesday, Feb. 6.

VALRICO, FL -- Brandon and Valrico residents fed up with increasing traffic congestion in the community are invited to discuss their concerns with Hillsborough County Commissioner Pat Kemp Tuesday, Feb. 6.

Kemp, the District 6 countywide commissioner, is hosting a Community Conversation to discuss options for improving mobility and safety in Brandon.

Residents will get a look at a recently completed study by The Planning Commission and the Metropolitan Planning Organization , which refined Hillsborough County’s Vision Map. The study looked at growth in the area to identify possible transportation improvements, especially along the congested east-west corridors, such as Bloomingdale Avenue, Lumsden Road and State Road 60.

Following a panel discussion, there will be a question-and-answer session.

The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bloomingdale Regional Public Library, 1905 Bloomingdale Ave., Valrico.
