County To Celebrate Completion of FishHawk Fire Station
Hillsborough County invites residents to a ceremony on Thursday, April 5, to celebrate the completion of the new FishHawk Fire Station.

LITHIA, FL -- Hillsborough County invites residents to a ceremony on Thursday, April 5, to celebrate the completion of the new $2.9 million FishHawk Fire Station No. 44.
The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. at the station, 13601 FishHawk Blvd., Lithia.
Hillsborough County leaders will join Fire Rescue personnel and community representatives to formally unveil the station, and mark Fire Rescue’s commitment to serving the area.

Children from the FishHawk Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy will greet ceremony attendees with song performances. Tours of the station will follow the ceremony.
At 10,000 square feet, the new station includes a refueling facility, safe room, modern living quarters, a climate-controlled bunker gear room and a workplace designed to meet current fire station standards. The station’s three bays house a new fire engine, and each 24-hour shift is staffed by a crew of nine.

Construction costs were funded through impact fees, general revenue funds and Public Safety Improvement Bond Project funds.
Construction took less than a year to complete. Station No. 44 began serving residents on March 1.
