Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation is holding a conference designed to raise the level of awareness about positive lifestyles, and the health and welfare of Hillsborough County girls. The Girls-Only Conference is limited to the first 100 participants, age 12 to 17. The cost is $10 per person. The registration deadline is Wednesday, May 30. The conference will be held Tuesday, June 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Northdale Recreation, 15550 Spring Pine Dr., Tampa. The keynote speaker will be the reigning Mrs. World and Tampa native, <a href="http://www.mrsamerica.com/2011/florida/profile.html" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">April Lufriu</a>. Workshop topics include beauty and fashion; career goals; character building; and health and nutrition. The cost of the event include a T-shirt and lunch. This girls-only conference is sponsored by the Northdale Owls and the Friends of the County Parks.
