Deputies Assigned To Lennard High School To Quell Fighting
Additional Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies have been posted at Lennard High School in Ruskin in the hopes of quelling fights.

RUSKIN, FL — Additional Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies have been posted at Lennard High School in the hopes of quelling fighting on the school campus at 2342 E. Shell Point Road in Ruskin.
Videos on social media show a series of fights taking place during school hours Thursday. According to the sheriff's office, 10 students were arrested for fighting and charged with misdemeanors.
The Hillsborough County School District released the following statement on the fighting:

Today, out of an abundance of caution, we had additional school security and Hillsborough Sheriff deputies on campus due to the fights that occurred yesterday. The fights involved only a few students who made a bad choice. We are dealing with discipline for each of them.
This in no way reflects the vast majority of the students at Lennard High School. The students are as upset by the actions of a few and know this does not define Lennard High School and the great work that is happening there every day.
