Deputies Need Help Identifying Riverview Serial Burglar

Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies are asking for the public's help in identifying a serial burglar that has been targeting businesses.

RIVERVIEW, FL -- Hillsborough County Sheriff's detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a serial burglar that has been targeting businesses in Riverview and Valrico.

At 1:17 a.m. on Nov. 17, the burglar broke into Pho Hoang Restaurant, 3827 301 U.S. S, Riverview, by forcing open the rear door. The burglar stole both cash registers.

Detectives say this appears to be the same burglar who has been breaking into area businesses since August, including the Lotus Nail Salon, 3513 Bell Shoals Road, Valrico; Majestic Eye Tattoo, 6417 U.S. 301 S, Riverview; Pink and White Nails, 10879 Bloomingdale Ave., Riverview; and Tire Choice & Total Car Care, 3523 Bell Shoals Road, Valrico.

In each case, the burglar entered the business through a rear door and stole the cash register.

The sheriff's office provided a surveillance video of the man burglarizing Pho Hoang Restaurant. He is described as black, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 11 to 6 feet 1 inches tall, 205 to 215 pounds with long dreadlocks and possibly a tattoo on his right wrist.
