Deputies Rescue Soot-Covered Kitten From Burning Home
Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies saved a kitten from a house fire on Sunday, just a week after deputies rescued a puppy from a drain.
BRANDON, FL -- Proving that they're equal opportunity rescuers, Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies saved a kitten from a house fire on Sunday, just a week after deputies rescued a puppy from a storm drain.
Deputies Kelsie Davis and Deputy Kristin Hendricks were walking around the scene of the house fire March 25 with Hillsborough County Fire Rescue personnel when they noticed a soot-covered kitten crawling fom the debris.
The deputies took the tiny kitten to Blue Pearl Veterinary Partner for medical attention.

On March 19, Deputies Tara Quezada and Zachary Shute were flagged down by residents to help the puppy that had fallen into a storm drain filled with water. The deputies removed the storm drain cover and rescued the puppy they named Poncho.
