The Brandon Genealogical Society will offer an introduction to researching African-American genealogy Friday, Feb. 3 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bloomingdale Regional Library, 1906 Bloomingdale Ave., Valrico. Learn tips and techniques for meeting the challenges of searching for Pre-Civil War-era records. Seating is limited to nine. Register in person no earlier than 30 minutes before the program.
