Cheerleading classes

The Providence West Recreation Center, 5417 Providence Road in Riverview, will host cheerleading for ages 5 and 6 Tuesdays at 6 p.m., cheerleading for ages 7 to 9 Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and cheerleading for ages 10 and up Tuesdays at 8 p.m.

This course is designed for making friends while learning the fundamentals of cheerleading. Choreographed pom-pom and dance routines will be taught along with jumps, stunts and other skills required for school tryouts.

The classes are offered in partnership with All American Youth Activities. Registration is $10, and class cost is $6 per week.
