The Florida Academy of Performing Arts in Music Showcase, 402 Oakfield Dr., Brandon, will host a commercial workshop July 30 to Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to noon. The workshop for children age 12 and up will include slating, auditioning techniques, interviewing basics, commercial language, improvisation, cold reading, copy, on-camera techniques, hitting marks and framing.
The cost is $125.
