Free Help for Homeowners

A free Help for Homeowners community event, sponsored by the Obama Administration’s Making Home Affordable Program, HOPE NOW Alliance and NeighborWorks® America, will be held in Tampa for all homeowners who may be at risk of foreclosure.

The event is free, open to the public and provides a chance for homeowners to meet face-to-face with their mortgage company and a HUD-approved counseling agency to work on a solution to help them stay in their home.

The event will be held Friday, Feb. 24, from 1 to 8 p.m., at the Hyatt Regency Tampa, 211 N. Tampa St., Tampa.

The Obama Administration’s Making Home Affordable Program was created to help struggling homeowners modify or refinance their mortgage payments to make them more affordable, or transition to more affordable housing to avoid preventable foreclosures.
