"My teacher made my parents aware of my creativity. Together they encouraged me to use this as a means of self-expression, and I’ve been painting and using other mediums ever since," said the self-taught artist.
"While photographs provide the bulk of my subject material, I feel my use of vivid colors is much more psychological than representational," said Conti. "I use color and space to elicit and emotional response to my work. I also enjoy altering my style or medium as it suits my mood. I have often surprised my art associates with my creation-du-jour, which may range from surreal to whimsical."
Conti frequently exhibits locally and continues to compete whenever possible, both nationally and abroad, winning several awards along the way.
