Join the Newsome High School 2009-10 District 5A championship basketball team as it hosts its eighth annual golf tournament Saturday, Sept. 17 at Bloomingdale Golfers Club, 4113 Great Golfers Place in Bloomingdale East.
The event will begin with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. This is a scramble format. A varsity player will caddy for each foursome. The tournament includes breakfast, lunch, awards, door prizes, raffles and a silent auction.
Proceeds will benefit the Newsome basketball program, purchasing equipment to compete in spring and summer leagues.

Interested golfers should sign up by Saturday, Sept. 10. The cost to register is $85 per person or $340 for a foursome.
The rain date for the tournament will be Oct. 1.
