Resident Cheryl Sackett will present “Cheryl’s Journey,” a fine arts photography exhibit Jan. 5-27 at Center Place, 619 Vonderburg Dr., Brandon. Sackett is a surgical nurse manager at Brandon Surgery Cente,r directly across the pond from Center Place.
While taking care of patients keeps her busy, photography is far beyond hobby status. Today her vacation time is split between photography trips and family vacations with a photography component. In the future she plans to continue developing her skills and expand the role photography plays in her life. While accumulating thousands of images, she has never published or formally exhibited her work. However, she has received recognition locally at the Florida Strawberry Festival.
A reception for the artist will take place Thursday, Jan. 12 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
