Parenting Classes

Learn how to enjoy your parenting experience Wednesdays, Sept. 5, 12 and 19 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m at the Hillsborough County Extension Service, 5339 County Road 579 in Seffner.

The three-week series is $20 (includes all materials and the court-approved certificate).

Hillsborough County Extension Service and the University of Florida will offer a series of parenting classes for parents of children ages birth through teens.

Balancing Your Parenting Style
Enhancing Your Child’s Self Esteem
Effective Discipline
What Today’s Kids Need to Succeed
Family Communication 
Stress Management for Parents

This class fulfills court requirements and a certificate of completion is given on the last day. About half of the participants are not required to take parenting classes, they just want to improve their parenting skills and learn about their child’s behaviors.

Children are not allowed in class.
