Asana Yoga will offer a session in Partner Yoga this Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m.
All levels are welcome and partners need not be of the same skill level. This workshop will help improve strength, flexibility, balance, trust and communication between partners.
Feel free to bring someone or come by yourself. Please wear comfortable clothing.
Instructors include Tanya Gold, M.D., who has studied yoga since 1995. Yoga found her at a time of stress from the rigors of medical school. This discipline invited balance, peace and happiness back into her life. She earned her registered yoga teacher (RYT) license in 2004, so she could share her new found perspective with her students and her patients. Her classes are heartfelt, fun and empowering. Gold learned about the partner yoga worshop early in her yoga career, and instantly fell in love. She hopes this feeling will be infectious. Through this practice, she has found a deeper connection with herself and others. The love for yoga only grows when it is shared with someone else, she says.
Another instructor is Heather Davis, a 200- hour registered yoga teacher (RYT). She is also certified RCYT (registered Childrens' Yoga Teacher) through Yoga Alliance. She is currently enrolled in a 500- hour training program studying yoga therapy. She says yoga is her gift to herself and teaching is an expression of her gratitude and desire to give the gift to others. It is her desire to teach from the heart and to learn from her students as they share in learning with her.
