The Providence West Recreation Center. 5417 Providence Road in Riverview, will offer self-defense classes Wednesdays at 6 p.m. for ages 5 and 6, 7 p.m. for ages 7 to 9 and 8 p.m. for ages 10 and up.
This course is designed for self-defense purposes only. Emphasis is placed on self-defense, communication and the appropriate use of skills practiced in class. Classes are taught by certified black belt instructors.
The classes are offered in partnership with All American Youth Activities. Registration is $10, and class cost is $6 per week, pay-as-you-go.
