Worms to Go - A Vermi-Composting Workshop

Vermi-composting is the process of breaking down organic matter into nutrient-rich compost through the use of worms. The workshop will include a presentation on Vermi-composting and a hands-on create your own worm bin session. Participants will learn how to care for their worms so they will provide the most compost and castings. Instructions will be included on how to harvest worm castings and the best uses for castings in your garden. This is one more way to reduce, reuse and recycle!

The cost includes one bin per household, and each household will be provided with all the materials they need to build a worm bin including worms. Please bring newspapers and/or paper bags. Pre-registration is required.
