Father Dies In US 301 Pileup; His 3 Children Seriously Injured
A 28-year-old Riverview father traveling with his three young children has died in a three-vehicle pileup on U.S. 301 near Pine Avenue.

RIVERVIEW, FL - A 28-year-old Riverview father traveling with his three young children has died in a three-vehicle pileup on U.S. 301 near Pine Avenue in Riverview.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 8:12 a.m. on Wednesday, Joshua B. Rosalez was driving a Chevy Tahoe north on U.S. 301. Mark Herber, 51, of Brandon was driving a Toyota Tundra south on U.S. 301 in the center lane and Warren Redd, 53, of Plant City was driving a Dodge Ram south on U.S. 301 in the outside lane.
Troopers said Rosalez changed from the center lane to the outside lane and lost control, left the road and entered the grassy shoulder. He then over-corrected and traveled back across all northbound lanes, then crossed the raised concrete median and entered the southbound lanes, striking the left rear of Herber's Tundra.

The Tundra rotated and overturned.
Rosalez' Tahoe then continued into the path of Redd's Ram, colliding nearly head on.

Rosalez was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he died.
Three passengers in the Tahoe, Aurelio Rosalez, 7; Catarina Rosalez, 3; and Bromicio Rosalez, 4, were taken to Tampa General with serious injuries.
Herber and a passenger in Redd's Dodge Ram, Alexus Redd, 19, were also taken to Tampa General with serious injuries.
Redd sustained minor injuries.
