Gov. Scott Urges RNC Delegates to Stay Safe

Tropical Storm Isaac was on Florida Gov. Rick Scott's mind when he addressed a crowd at Palm Harbor's Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club Monday.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott made a last-minute decision to speak at a breakfast Monday morning at , where Republican National Convention delegates from Florida and South Carolina are staying. The governor had originally cancelled plans for RNC events on Monday and Tuesday because of Tropical Storm Isaac.

Scott left the breakfast, changed his shirt, and then came back to pose for a group photo with the Florida delegates.

Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam also addressed the delegates, calling them Florida's "partners in primary purgatory," . The comment was a reference to the alleged punishment the Republican party handed down to both states for holding early primaries; the delegations were assigned hotels far away from the RNC in Tampa.
