GRCC November 2020 Monthly Membership Meeting On Zoom

On Tuesday, November 24th, 2020 the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) hosted their virtual monthly membership meeting on Zoom. Pastor Jennifer Moreno, Kesh 'Oved Faith Ministries Inc. - Christian Church, Disciples of Christ , provided the day’s invocation. Leading the meeting this month in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance was 2020 Honorary Mayor of Riverview, Daniel Cyral of Hypnotic Engagements. Richard Rohde, R Processor, Inc. recognized Kenneth Greenwell, N Zone Sports - South Shore, during our Military Recognition. President Mike Jones, Florida DOE Vocational Rehabilitation welcomed everyone who joined the meeting. He introduced Jeff Caetano to the GRCC team as the new Communications Coordinator. Mike also congratulated and welcomed our elected official Bob “Coach” Henriquez from Hillsborough County Property Appraiser. Bob Henriquez also served as the speaker for this month’s membership meeting. He gave a community update, inspired businesses to get involved with their government and talked about topics relating to businesses that are on his platform. Bob explained the purpose and constitutional charge of his office as assessing the value of all the property in Hillsborough County. He also discussed their Covid-19 Tax Relief Task Force that was formed to better understand the effects of the pandemic on local businesses. “Coach” invited anyone to reach out to the property appraisers office if they have any questions. During this meeting, 2019 Ambassador of the Year, Joe Eletto, Century 21 Beggins, recognized the November Member Spotlight, Mary Owens, Black Diamond Associates. Sierra Carch, GRCC Administrative Services Manager then chose the December Member Spotlight to be John Schifino, Gunster. At this month’s meeting, Debbie Kirkland, GRCC Membership Director, welcomed 3 New GRCC Members. Janet Noah, The Bridges Retirement Community provided recognition to the 31 renewing members.
