I feel like it is important to introduce myself here for those who might consider following my blog. My name is Jodi Stone. I am a wife and mama first and foremost of three lovely and very entertaining little girls. I have a Bachelor's degree in English and Creative Writing. When not writing or entertaining my three girls, or doing their massive piles of laundry, you can often find me reading (usually when I sneak off in the tub), working with a library program my family and I created (more later on that), building dollhouses (passion or addiction), hanging out with friends, learning the rules of cheerleading (will be coaching for the first time next month!), crafting of some sort, or begging my husband for the remote. I love many things and there are many facets to who I am, and I hope through this blog, you will be somewhat amused by what I write.
The amazing editor here at Bloomingdale Patch, D'Ann White has been a wonderful support of my work, helping to spread the word about my book releases. Did I mention I am an author/illustrator? I have loved the written word ever since I can remember, and writing is not just something I do, it's a passion and a huge part of who I am. I have published seven books, and have an eighth coming out soon with Anchor Group Publishing.
If I haven't lost you at this point, it is crucial that I let you all know why I am going to be blogging here. I will not only be sharing my own work/books/illustrations, but I believe in the power of helping one another. I am going to share some of my favorite authors and books, and will also be sharing author interviews. I always love reading more about the authors who write my favorite books, and what led them to write the works we love. I can't wait to share my books and the amazing books of other authors with the world.
So, with that being said, I take a bow of introduction and hope you all enjoy my blog.
