Hillsborough Firefighter Injured Falling Out Of Fire Truck
A Hillsborough County firefighter is in stable condition Wednesday, July 11, after falling out of a fire truck Tuesday, July 10 at 5:28 p.m.

SUN CITY CENTER, FL -- A Hillsborough County firefighter is in stable condition Wednesday, July 11, after falling out of a fire truck Tuesday, July 10 at 5:28 p.m.
According to Hillsborough County Sheriff's detectives, the fire rescue engine had just left Station 28 at 4551 Sun City Center Blvd. As the engine turned left onto Sun City Center Boulevard, firefighter Steven Dowd, the right front passenger, fell out of the truck and onto the roadway.
Dowd, 46, was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital where he remains for evaluation. His injuries are not life-threatening.
