Kids, Chiropractic, and Back Pain- by Dr Jeff Langmaid Brandon, FL Chiropractor

Does your little one carry a heavy back pack to school everyday?  If so, take a look at the attached picture for how that heavy weight may be affecting your child's spine.  Current guidelines indicate that backpacks should weight no more than 10% of your child current weight.  Unfortunately, these guidelines are rarely followed.

Over the course of weeks, months, and years, this type of stress can eventually lead to pain and dysfunction.

If your child carries a heavy back pack everyday and begins to experience back pain, I encourage you to reach out to a local chiropractor.  I work with many of our area pediatricians for exactly these kinds of issues.  Staying active, and keeping you naturally healthy and pain-free.
