Lennard High School Student Charged With Making Threats
A Lennard High School student was arrested Tuesday after being accused of making threatening comments against fellow students.

RUSKIN, FL — A Lennard High School student was arrested Tuesday after being accused of telling friends that she was "tired of the kids at school" and wanted to shoot them.
The 16-year-old student made the comments in front of two other students last week. The teen also said she wanted to build a death camp in the woods where she could make kids disappear.
The witnesses came forward on Tuesday and told school resource deputies. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office investigated and found no evidence that the teen had the means to carry out her threats. Nevertheless, she was taken into custody Tuesday night for making a false report concerning the use of firearms in a violent manner.
“The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office takes all threats of violence against students seriously, and we will continue to work with school staff to investigate these threats thoroughly,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “I am urging all parents to talk with their children about the seriousness of making any threats. It's important for them to learn that even fake threats can have serious consequences and long-term repercussions."
