Local Christmas Eve, Christmas Day Church Service Times

Are you and your family going to church on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Here's a list of service times in the Bloomingdale-Riverview area. (Did we miss your church? Just add the Christmas service times in the comments section below!)

St. Stephen Catholic Church, 5049 Bell Shoals Rd., Valrico, will host family Masses Saturday, Dec. 24, at 4 and 6 p.m. with special Christmas pageants presented by the children of the parish. Mass will be offered inside the church as well as outside in the tent where the youth ministry also will present a living nativity.

A mass for the middle and high school students will take place at 8 p.m. in the church and tent with Life Teen and Edge music ministries performing.

In addition, a midnight Mass will take place in the church and tent featuring Christmas music by the church choir. Those attending should arrive a half an hour before midnight.

Christmas Day Masses will be celebrated at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Grace Community United Methodist Church, 5708 Lithia-Pinecrest Rd., Lithia, will host a family service at 4:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve and a candlelight service with carols at 6:30 p.m.

The church will host a Blessing of the Toys Christmas Day at 11 a.m.

FishHawk Fellowship Church, 15326 FishHawk Blvd., Lithia, will host Christmas Eve services at 3 and 4:30 p.m.

Christmas Day services will take place at 9:30 a.m.

Journey Church, 1310 John Moore Rd., Brandon, will host a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m.

Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 10540 Browning Rd., Lithia, will host Christmas Vespers, a traditional evening worship service with reading and carols, on Christmas Eve at 6 p.m.

A Christmas Candlelight Service with readings, carols and prayers leading to the midnight hour welcoming the newborn Savior with lighted candles, the singing of "Silent Night" and the ringing of the church bell will begin on Christmas Eve at 11 p.m.

A Christmas Day Communion Service featuring Christmas themes and music will take place at 10 a.m.

Celebration Church, 1653 Bloomingdale Ave., Valrico, will host a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. There will be no services Christmas Day.

St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 3315 Bryan Rd., Brandon, will host a family service on Christmas Eve at 4:30 p.m., a contemporary service at 6:30 p.m. and traditional communion and candlelight services at 8:30 and 11 p.m.

On Christmas Day, there will be a service at 10:30 a.m.

First Baptist Church of Riverview, 8626 U.S. 301 S., Riverview, will host a Christmas Eve service at 4 p.m. and a Christmas Day service at 10 a.m.

Presbyterian Church of Bloomingdale, 710 E. Bloomingdale Ave., Brandon, will host a children's Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m. and a candlelight service at 11 p.m.

Christmas Day services will take place at 10:30 a.m.

Bell Shoals Church of Christ, 2908 Bell Shoals Rd., Brandon, will host a Christmas Day service with communion at 10:30 a.m.

Centerpoint Church, 1801 S. Miller Rd., Valrico, will host a Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m. There will be no services on Christmas Day.

Cornerstone Baptist Church, 818 N. Parsons Ave., Brandon, will host a Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m. and a Christmas Day worship service at 10 a.m.

Providence Baptist Church, 5416 Providence Rd., Riverview, will host a Christmas Day worship service at 11 a.m.

South Brandon Worship Center, 4929 Bell Shoals Rd., Valrico, will host a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. and a Christmas morning service at 10:45 a.m.

Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 12404 Boyette Rd., Riverview, will host a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. and a Christmas Day service at 11 a.m.

The Palms Community Church, 1310 E. Bloomingdale Ave., Valrico, will host a candelight Christmas Eve service at 5 and 7 p.m. There will be no Sunday services.

Bay Life Church, 1017 Kingsway Rd., Brandon, will host Christmas Eve services at 4, 5:30 and 7 p.m.

Horizon Christian Church, 1720 S. St. Cloud Ave., Valrico, will host Christmas Eve services at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Christmas Day services will take place at 10 a.m.
