Arrest Made In Shooting Deaths Of Riverview Mother, Child
Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man in the shooting deaths of a Riverview mother and daughter.
RIVERVIEW, FL – Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ronnie Oneal, 29, 13248 Pike Lake Drive, Riverview, in the shooting deaths of a mother and her 9-year-old daughter late last night.
On Sunday, March 18, at about 11:43 pm, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from Kenyatta Barron, 33, who told the dispatcher she'd been shot and made repeated pleas for help.
When asked where she was, Barron gave a partial address of "1234" while a man could be heard in the background yelling, "Allah Akbar." The dispatcher heard Barron say, "I'm so sorry, Ronnie," and then she began screaming.

At that point, a man was heard saying, " She killed me," and then saying, "Don't come outside, call 911 now."
The call ended at that point but the 911 dispatcher received another call at 11:51 p.m. from a man who stated, "I've just been attacked by some white demons." He continued, "Her name is Ke-Ke and she tried to kill me and I just killed her."

The caller then provided the address 13248 Pike Lake Dr., Riverview. The dispatcher asked the caller if Ke-Ke tried to attack him and he responded, "Yes, she tried to kill me," and hung up.
By then, deputies had arrived at the home off Big Bend Road, west of Balm-Riverview Road in Riverview, and found Barron lying in a neighbor's front yard. They began to provide aid when Hillsborough County Fire Rescue arrived and took over.
In the meantime, deputies saw a fire in the house and forced their way in. At that point, the garage door opened automatically and deputies saw Oneal walking toward them from the open garage.
Deputies ordered him to stop and get on the ground. When he ignored their commands, deputies used tasers to incapacitate Oneal.
As deputies placed Oneal in the back of a sheriff's car, he began uttering, "Allah Akbar." That's when a boy about 11 years old walked out of the home with multiple stab wounds to the torso and neck as well as burns and told deputies, "My father shot my mother."
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue began searching the home and discovered the body of a girl, about 9 years old, who was dead from multiple stab wounds. Barron also died at the scene. The boy, later identified was Oneal's son, was transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he underwent surgery for his wounds. He is listed in stable condition. The sheriff's office has not released the names of the children.
Investigators are still trying to piece together what occurred. Oneal's clothing was covered with blood and blood spatter. He also had a severe burn to his left forearm, with the inside of his right pants leg burned as well. There were cuts on his right pinky finger and left thumb, possible abrasions and or burns on the top of his knuckles and there was a strong smell of gasoline on him.
Oneal has been charged with two counts of murder in the first degree, one count of attempted murder in the first degree, one count of arson in the first degree and resisting arrest with violence.
