National Voter Registration Day Is Tuesday, Sept. 25

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL -- The Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office is urging all eligible residents to register to vote on National Voter Registration Day Tuesday, Sept. 25.

Along with hosting voter registration drives, the office will join Pinellas and Pasco County elections offices in a phone bank at WFLA-TV to answer voter questions.

The county also will join the national campaign on social media, using #NationalVoterRegistrationDay and #VoteHillsborough hashtags.

"The things we're doing on National Voter Registration Day are things we always do,but we are thrilled to see this national effort to make civic engagement part of everyday conversation," said Craig Latimer, Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections.

On Tuesday, elections office staff will be registering people to vote and helping them update their voter information in the following locations:

Fred B. Karl County Center: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Robert L. Gilder Elections Service Center: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Supervisor of Elections Southeast Regional Office: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Supervisor of Elections Northwest Regional Office: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

78th St. Community Library: 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Arthenia L. Joyner Library: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Bloomingdale Regional Library: 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Brandon Regional Library: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Bruton Memorial Library: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Centro Asturiao de Tampa: 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Gaither High School: 11:15 a.m. - 1:45 p.m.

Jan Kaminis Platt Library: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Jimmie B. Keel Library: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Metro Wellness Center: 2:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.

New Tampa Library: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. North Tampa Library: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Saunders Library: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Seffner-Mango Library: 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Seminole Heights Library: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

SouthShore Regional Library: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Temple Terrace Library: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Town N Country Library: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

West Tampa Library: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

In Florida, the deadline to register to vote for the 2018 general election is Oct. 9.
