New Fire Station In Riverview Under Construction

Construction has begun on a new fire station in Riverview so fire crews can respond faster to emergency calls in the area, said officials.

BLOOMINGDALE - RIVERVIEW, FL — Construction has begun on a new fire station in the Riverview area and will be complete in 2021, said Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

According to Hillsborough County officials, Riverview is one of the fastest growing areas in the county, and having a fire crew in this location will help decrease fire rescue response times when fires occur.

The Riverview fire station is number 46, and it has 42 personnel, including a truck company, an engine company, a rescue crew and a tanker crew. It also has four new apparatus, including a ladder truck, an engine, a tanker and a rescue truck.
