New K-8 Charter School Opening in Riverview

Riverview, FL (Mar. 13, 2019) — The members of Advantage Academy of Hillsborough, Inc.’s governing board (AAH) and Charter School Associates (CSA) announce the opening of Riverview Academy of Math and Science (RAMS), their 12th public charter school opening in Hillsborough County. AAH and CSA are the highly respected and successful organizers and operators of the following High Performing Charter Schools that are also acknowledged by the Florida Department of Education as Florida Schools of Excellence; Bell Creek Academy, Bell Creek Academy High School and Valrico Lake Advantage Academy. AAH and CSA also operate these successful Hillsborough County charter schools; Independence Academy, Hillsborough Academy of Math and Science, Channelside Academy of Math and Science, Advantage Academy of Hillsborough, and Sunlake Academy of Math and Science.

Riverview Academy of Math & Science (RAMS) will open August 2019 with grades Kindergarten through seven and will add eighth grade in the 2019-2020 school year. The initial Phase 1 plan will be a 60,000 square-foot school situated on16 acres at 9906 Symmes Road, Riverview, FL 33578. The first phase will feature over fifty classrooms including science labs, computer and art labs, a music room, media center and multi-purpose room. RAMS will offer an extensive athletic program and will host home games in its gymnasium with the opening of Phase 2 in 2021.

Students attending Riverview Academy of Math & Science will have an opportunity to experience and be challenged by a S.T.E.A.M based curriculum, the Galileo Middle School Program, the Global Studies Program, and the Cambridge Advanced Studies program.
