New Port Richey 19-Year-Old Driver Dies In 3-Car Accident

19-year-old New Port Richey woman was pronounced dead following an accident Saturday on Moon Lake Road.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL – A 19-year-old New Port Richey woman was pronounced dead at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson following an accident at Moon Lake Road and Oconne Boulevard in New Port Richey Saturday, June 23.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, just after 2 p.m. Raven Brooklyn Joliff, 23, of New Port Richey was driving south on Moon Lake Road near Oconne Boulevard.

Separate cars driven by Kerissa Ashlee Ramson, 25 of New Port Richey and Jillian Faith Hitt, 19, of New Port Richey were stopped at the intersection of Moon Lake and Oconne. Hitt was coming from the north and attempting to turn left at Oconne. Ramson was heading south on Moon Lake.

Joliff apparently didn’t see Ramson stopped in front of her and attempted to swerve to the left. She struck the left rear section of Ramson’s car and then entered the northbound lane of Moon Lake where she struck Hitt’s car head on.

Hitt was killed in the crash. Joliff and her passenger, 4-year-old Anthoney Lippi, were taken to Bayonet Point with minor injuries.

Ramsom was uninjured but her 1-year passenger, Madilyn Smith, was taken to Bayonet Point with minor injuries.
