Pasco Sheriff: 91-Year-Old Man Threatens Pastor With Gun

A 91-year-old man has been arrested for threatening a pastor he thought was having an affair with his girlfriend.

LACOOCHEE, FL -- A 91-year-old man has been arrested for threatening a pastor he thought was having an affair with his girlfriend.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Cornelius Jones of Brooksville is accused of walking into New Bethel AME Church, 20641 Floyd Drive in Lacoochee, with a gun intending to threaten the pastor because he was suspicious about the amount of time his live-in girlfriend was spending at church.

According to deputies, Jones held the handgun above his head and threatened the pastor. The pastor, Jones' girlfriend and two other women dashed into the church office and dialed 911.

Jones has been charged with aggravated assault.
