Police Investigate Homicide After Gibsonton Man Found Dead

GIBSONTON, FL —A man was found dead with upper body trauma inside a Gibsonton home on the 10000 block of Ethel Street on May 7 at 5:11 p.m., according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. Deputies have ruled this a homicide and believe the murder was not a random act.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office asks anyone with information about the death to contact 813-247-8200. Sheriff Chad Chronister said that no tip is too small to report. Tips can be made anonymously to Crime Stoppers.

The victim's identity has not been released by police.
