LUTZ, FL – A Pasco County teacher has been arrested for reportedly having sex with a student. According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, detectives arrested Ridgewood High School teacher Sean Gallegos, 43, of Morden Blush Drive, Lutz, on Wednesday, May 2, after an investigation revealed Gallegos allegedly had sex with a 16-year-old female student on more than one occasion in April. Gallegos, a robotics teacher at the school since August 2015, was charged with two counts of sexual battery custodial authority and booked into the Hillsborough County jail on a Pasco County warrant.According to Pasco County Schools spokeswoman Linda Cobbe, Gallegos has been placed on administrative leave pending the school board's vote on suspension without pay at its May 15 meeting.
