Riverview Building Engulfed In Flames After Car Crashed Into It

The Florida Highway Patrol said it is searching for a suspect responsible for crashing a car into a building that resulted in fire.

BLOOMINGDALE-RIVERVIEW, FL — Deputies are searching for a suspect who crashed a car into a Riverview building that caught on fire after the crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Investigators said as the suspect drove southbound on U.S. Highway 201 towards Lake St. Charles Boulevard, the car ran off the roadway and flew into the air after it hit the median.

After it landed, the car hit another median nearby and went airborne again, authorities said.

The car landed on its right side and knocked over a wooden fence that it slid into, detectives said.

The car eventually stopped by crashing into the Tribble Law Center, 6928 U.S. Highway 301, and the car and the building were fully engulfed in flames, officials said.

Police said the driver of the car left the area before troopers arrived.

No one was listed as injured by FHP.
