Riverview Martial Arts Instructor Accused Of Molesting Students
Detectives said multiple minor students made accusations against Daniel Medina-Alvarez for inappropriately to touching them.

RIVERVIEW, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Riverview martial arts instructor accused of sexual battery and molestation of children who studied martial arts at his studio.
Daniel Medina-Alvarez, 56, the owner and an instructor at Medina Martial Arts, 6447 U.S. 301, Riverview, has been charged with 20 counts of lewd and lascivious molestation and one count of sexual battery.
During the investigation, detectives learned that multiple students who are minors made accusations against Medina-Alvarez for inappropriately touching them while at the martial arts studio and at his home on Dixon Drive from 2016 to 2020.

He remains in the Falkenburg Road Jail on a $492,500 bond.
Detectives are trying to determine if others may have been victimized by Medina-Alvarez. Anyone with information is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200.
