Riverview Motorcyclist Killed In Boyette Road Crash
The accident happened sometime early Saturday morning near Mosaic Drive.

RIVERVIEW, FL — A single-vehicle crash on Boyette Road early Saturday morning has left one man dead.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Ricky Alan Shortt was riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound on Boyette Road sometime early Saturday. As Shortt approached the roundabout at Mosaic Drive, he “failed to negotiate the curve, struck the curb, and landed underneath the landscaping in the roundabout,” an email from the agency said.

Shortt’s body was discovered around 6:15 a.m. Saturday.
It is unknown if alcohol contributed to the crash, the agency noted. Deputies say Shortt was not wearing a helmet.
