DEVELOPING: Riverview Stabbing Under Investigation

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing the occurred in Riverview Thursday morning.

Deputies responded to 8818 Van Fleet Road and found one person injured, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Debbie Carter wrote in an email to media.

A man is accused of stabbing and then shooting his wife while her three children waited for a ride to school. the Tampa Bay Times is reporting.The man fled the scene, but was brought into custody.

The victim has been medivaced to a local hospital and one person has been detained. Details, Carter noted in an email to media, are preliminary and are subject to change.
