Riverview Teen Arrested For Threatening Students At Douglas High
A 17-year-old Riverview resident has been arrested for threatening students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

RIVERVIEW, FL – A 17-year-old Riverview resident has been arrested for threatening students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the teen posted a written threat on the social media site, Snapchat, directed at students attending the high school where the Feb. 14 shootings occurred.
The threat posted on March 4 stated, “I'll have another person shoot up yo school.” A freshman at at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School was among the students who received the threat and forwarded it to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

Broward County traced the source to Riverview and contacted the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
The teen admitted to posting the threat on Snapchat and making additional threats to kill the victim via other Snapchat posts. He told the sheriff’s office that he made the threats out of anger.

He was arrested Thursday, March 15, for making a false report about using firearms in a violent manner and was booked into the Hillsborough County Juvenile Assessment Center. Due to his age, he is not being named.
