Riverview Woman Charged With DUI Manslaughter In November Crash

GIBSONTON, FL — A 21-year-old Riverview resident was arrested Monday in connection with a fatal crash that occurred last fall.

Lizangela Bonilla-Parilla of River Bream Drive was charged with DUI manslaughter and violation of driver license restrictions in connection with a fatal crash Nov. 5 on Interstate 75 just south of Gibsonton Drive.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Bonilla-Parilla was traveling north on I-75 at 9:45 p.m. in a Toyota Corolla when she struck motorcyclist Charlie Suave Garcia, 28, of Orlando, who was stopped in the painted divider on the Gibsonton Drive exit ramp.

Garcia died at the scene.
