Ruskin Woman Killed In Collision With Truck On US 41

RUSKIN, FL -- A 31-year-old Ruskin woman has died following a crash Friday, Aug. 3 at 6301 U.S. 41 S. near Valroy Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 8:25 a.m., Mario Andrew Villanueva, 56, of Orlando was driving a semi-tractor trailer truck south in the outside lane of U.S. 41 south of Valroy Road. He slowed to turn right into 84 Lumber.

A Ruskin woman driving a 2008 Ford was also traveling south on U.S. 41 and didn’t see the truck slow down. She struck the rear of the truck and died at the accident scene.

Her name is not being released until her family has been notified.
