Serious Injuries in U.S. 301, Riverview Drive Crash
The accident happened early Wednesday morning.
Two people are hospitalized following an early Wednesday morning crash along U.S. 301 at Riverview Drive.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol Christopher Greenwood, 35, of Tampa was heading northbound on U.S. 301 in the outside lane around 2:42 a.m. At that time, Keyla Noguera, 19, of Gibsonton was heading west on Riverview Drive in the left turn lane.
Noguera was making a left turn to go south onto U.S. 301 when Greenwood, troopers wrote in a report, failed to stop for the light. The front of Greenwood’s Buick Century struck the left side of Noguera’s Ford Mustang, troopers wrote.

Noguera was taken to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition. Greenwood was also transported to TGH in serious condition, troopers say.
The accident remains under investigation with charges pending. It is unclear at this time if alcohol played a role in the crash, troopers noted in their report.
