Sheriff Investigates Murder-Suicide Attempt In Bloomingdale East

VALRICO, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide attempt in Bloomingdale East Monday.

At 3:10 p.m., deputies were called to the 2500 block of Siena Way in the Erin Arbor neighborhood for a domestic violence call.

There, they found a woman who had been shot but was alive and a man dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The woman was taken to Tampa General Hospital with serious injuries.

The sheriff's office said the man and woman had a romantic relationship at one point but is unclear of their status at the time of the shooting.
