Sheriff Seeks Porch Pirates Targeting Brandon, FishHawk Homes

Hillsborough County Sheriff's detectives are searching for porch pirates who are stealing packages from neighborhoods in Brandon and Lithia.

BRANDON, FL -- Hillsborough County Sheriff's detectives are searching for porch pirates who are stealing packages from neighborhoods in Brandon, Valrico and Lithia.

On April 18 at 10:50 a.m., a thief was seen removing two packages from the front porch of a home on Cavour Court in Brandon. The thief walked back down the driveway, and later dropped the empty package on a neighbor's lawn after removing the contents.

That thief is described as a white man, in his early 30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 170 pounds with brown hair. He was wearing a blue shirt with a graphic on the front and black Nike shoes.

On April 24 at about 10:30 a.m., two people were seen backing a white Kia into the driveway of a home on Stanberry Drive in Brandon. The passenger got out of the Kia and removed a package from the front porch of the home. The package contained medication belonging to the homeowner. No tag was visible on the Kia.

The thief is described as a white man, 30 to 49 years old, approximately 5 feet 1o inches tall and weighing around 220 pounds. The theft was captured on surveillance video.

Then on April 25 at about 2:30 pm, two people in a white Kia, possibly the same car, followed an Amazon truck throughout FishHawk Ranch. While on Shell Ridge Drive, the passenger in the Kia got out and removed a package from a resident's front porch.

The driver is believed to be a white man. The passenger was about 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build.

Detectives believe these cases may be connected and believe there may have been other package thefts in Brandon, Valrico and Lithia neighborhoods.
