Spurlino Family YMCA At Big Bend Road To Host Job Fair
On Sunday, Nov. 4, job applicants are invited to a hiring event on-site at the new YMCA, 9650 Old Big Bend Road in Riverview.

RIVERVIEW, FL -- In preparation to open the Spurlino Family YMCA at Big Bend Road later this winter, the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA is looking to hire talented, energetic individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of thousands of children, adults, teens and seniors in Southern Hillsborough County.
On Sunday, Nov. 4, job applicants are invited to a hiring event on-site at 9650 Old Big Bend Road in Riverview. From 2 to 4 p.m., on-the-spot interviews and job offers will take place for more than 100 part-time positions.
Job applicants, ages 16 and over, can apply and interview for part-time positions in wellness, membership, aquatics, sports and childcare.

Named after the lead donor, the Spurlino Family YMCA at Big Bend Road features 32,500 square feet of indoor space plus an outdoor aquatic center complete with a lap pool and family fun pool offering a zero-depth entry and fun play features. The $16.4 million project is possible thanks to the partnership of the Hillsborough Board of County Commissioners.

The new Y will offer a state-of-the-art wellness center complete with top-notch equipment, innovative fitness technology, an indoor cycling studio and two group exercise rooms offering popular fitness classes. Programs include personal/group training, a diabetes prevention program, a cancer survivor program, active older adult programming and health education seminars.
The new Y will continue offering youth sports and summer camp, while adding on a Stay & Play for children while their parents work out, Parents’ Nights Out, teen leadership programs, swim lessons, swim teams for all ages and family-friendly events.
