Suspected Homicide Under Investigation in Riverview

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office responded shortly after 4 p.m. today to a suspected homicide on Hawthorne Trace Lane in Riverview after an adult victim was found inside a townhouse, according to law enforcement.

"Preliminary details at the time of this release indicate this is not a random act," deputies said.

Detectives this afternoon were securing a search warrant and expected to be at the scene for several hours, the agency said.
