Teen, Unborn Child Killed In Accident On Little Road

A 16-year-old St. Petersburg girl and her unborn child were killed Sunday , June 17, in an accident on Little Road.

HUDSON, FL -- A 16-year-old St. Petersburg girl and her unborn child were killed Sunday , June 17, when the pickup truck she was riding in collided with a car on Little Road in Hudson.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, James Dunn, 19, of St. Petersburg was driving his 1997 Ford Ranger pickup truck north on Little Road just south of Hudson Avenue at 9:11 p.m. when Margaret Wallace, 75, of Hudson began backing her 1997 Nissan Maxima out of her driveway. She struck the passenger side of the truck where Emily Pearson, who was seven months pregnant, was seated. Pearson was not wearing a seat belt. She was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital where she and her unborn child died.

Dunn sustained minor injuries. Wallace was not injured.
