That's A Lot Of Pot: Hillsborough Men Arrested With 164 Pounds

Two men from Gibsonton and Wimauma are spending time in a Nebraska jail after state troopers say they found 164 pounds of pot.

LINCOLN, NE — Two men from Gibsonton and Wimauma are spending time in a Nebraska jail after Nebraska State troopers say they found 164 pounds of pot in their car.

According to the Nebraska State Patrol, a trooper with the Nebraska State Patrol spotted a Nissan Rogue following another vehicle too closely on Highway 2 in Otoe County on Sunday, Oct. 28. The trooper pulled the Nissan over and conducted a search with the help of Otoe County Sheriff's deputies.

During the search, they discovered 164 pounds of high-grade marijuana, 500 units of THC shatter, 500 units of THC oil and 4,700 units of THC blunts.

The driver, George Wood, 36, of Gibsonton, and passenger, Travis Hardin, 30, of Wimauma were arrested for possession of marijuana – more than one pound, possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to deliver, and no drug tax stamp. Both men were taken to the Otoe County Jail.
