The vessel Glory is back at Port Tampa Bay after a nearly two-month journey delivering Tampa Bay area supplies to Puerto Rico.
RIVERVIEW, FL -- The vessel Glory is back at Port Tampa Bay after a nearly two-month journey delivering Tampa Bay area supplies to Puerto Rico.
After arriving in Tampa Tuesday, June 5, the Glory was once again loaded with donations, including hundreds of mattresses, at Port Tampa Bay's cold storage facility, Port Logistics Refrigerated Services.
Other supplies including medical supplies and building materials have been loaded on containers and stacked on the Glory for its journey back to Puerto Rico at the end of the week.

To honor Shawna and James Downs and their children, who live on the Glory and have been delivering donations to the suffering island since Hurricane Maria tore through, local charities, friends and the community are invited to attend a dinner to celebrate their ministry Wednesday, June 6 at 6 p.m. at the Italian Kitchen Cafe, 6915 U.S. 301, Riverview.
Thousands of gallons of fuel are still needed for their journey to and back from Puerto Rico to deliver the donations. Organizers are hoping for donated fuel or donations to purchase it while in Tampa.
