BLOOMINGDALE-RIVERVIEW, FL — Authorities are searching for an 18-year-old they say wounded two people in a shooting during an argument outside a Riverview Wawa store.

Javius Leon Vazquez is accused of firing a shot from his black Nissan Altima that hit a person standing in the gas station parking lot located at 11323 Boyette Road on Thursday, May 21, at 7:35 p.m., according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. A bullet struck the victim in the leg, and then the same bullet or a fragment of it hit a second person standing behind the first victim, the sheriff's office said.

"No argument should ever be resolved with gunfire," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "This teen should be grateful no one was killed due to his senseless actions, but we will ensure he faces consequences for such reckless behavior."
