Wimauma Man Critical After Accidentally Shot In Head

WIMAUMA, FL – A 20-year-old man remains in critical condition following surgery at Tampa General Hospital after being accidentally shot in the head.

At about 3:41 a.m. March 10, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 3220 Saffold Road in Wimauma where they found a man who had been shot in the head with a .45-caliber pistol. There were about 15 people on hand for a party when the victim was shot. The person who discharged the gun was unloading it when it accidentally went off.
